You may have noticed that things look a bit different around here.
Simply put, I felt it was time for a change over here at MattForney.com. I’ve been using the same theme for close to three years, and while it’s served me well, the Internet is a different place now then it was in 2014.
As a result, I’ve overhauled my blog with a new theme and new toolset from Thrive Themes. It’s sharper-looking, faster-running, and overall more convenient for both me and you, the reader.
I have my friend Kyle Trouble over at Troublesome Solutions to thank for the new design. Kyle installed Thrive Themes and created a custom layout for me, and he also walked me through using Thrive on my own to optimize my site’s traffic and usability. Even better, he did it for free. If you’re looking for someone to create a professional-looking, high-quality WordPress site for you, Kyle is the man to go to. I’d also like to thank my long-time graphic designer Matt Lawrence, who created a new version of my logo for the site.
There are still a number of kinks to be worked out with the site’s new design, but I’m looking to get rid of them within the next few days. Let me know if you have any suggestions or there’s anything I need to fix.
I will also be redesigning my sister site MattForneyBooks.com over the next week, so stay tuned for more updates.
